Will an Ormelya box fit any ring?
Yes. Our boxes are designed to hold most engagement rings, from solitaires to halo settings. The microfibre cushion inside holds the ring securely without scratching the band or the stone. If your ring is unusually wide or has an unusual setting, write to us before you order and we will confirm fit.
Can I customise my box?

How long does delivery take?
We process every order within 48 hours of purchase. From there:
Worldwide 7 to 20 business days, free and fully tracked.
If your proposal is in less than 10 days, write to us before you order. We will tell you honestly whether we can make it on time.
Are the materials durable?
We use high-grade microfibre, a vegan alternative to leather that ages better than most real leather under daily use. It does not crack, it does not flake, and it keeps its tone. Our boxes are designed to be kept on a nightstand for years, not discarded after the proposal.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide. Duties and import taxes are calculated at checkout for most destinations so there are no surprises at delivery.
What is your return policy?
30 days, full refund, no questions asked. If the box does not feel right when you open it, send it back. We cover the return shipping worldwide. Full details on the Shipping & Returns page.
Is there a guarantee on the LED in the Lumière and Sovereign boxes?
Yes. 12 months on the LED, the battery, and the magnetic clasp. If anything fails within a year, we replace the box at no cost. Batteries are pre-installed and tested before shipping.
Will the LED battery be dead when it arrives?
No. We test every LED box the morning it ships. The batteries are CR2032 coin cells, pre-installed, and rated for 200+ openings before replacement.
Can the ring fall out if the box is tilted?
No. The microfibre cushion grips the ring on three sides. We tested fourteen prototypes before we chose this design. You can hold the open box upside-down at chest height and the ring will stay in.
How do I clean the box if it gets a smudge?
A dry microfibre cloth, gently. If a smudge is stubborn, a slightly damp cloth with a drop of water (never solvent) restores the finish. Do not soak. Air-dry away from direct sun.
Is the box safe to carry in a pocket on the day of the proposal?
Yes. The Signature and Lumière models fit in most jacket and trouser pockets. The Sovereign is slightly larger and is better suited to an interior jacket pocket or a small clutch. The magnetic clasp will not open accidentally.
Do you ship in discreet packaging?
Yes. The outer shipping box says nothing about Ormelya, ring boxes, or jewellery. No one at home or at work will guess what is inside. The invoice is sent by email only, not in the parcel.
Can I order more than one box?
Yes. Many of our customers order a second box for the wedding day, or for an anniversary years later. There are no quantity limits.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
The box comes in its own presentation sleeve already, so it is gift-ready out of the parcel. If you need a separate outer gift box for handing it over wrapped, contact us before ordering and we will add one at cost.
What if she does not like the colour?
Send it back within 30 days and we will exchange it for any other colour, free of charge. Most of our customers choose the colour that matches her style, not the ring. If you are unsure, write to us with her wardrobe palette and we will recommend one.
Can I see real customer photos?
Yes. Verified Judge.me reviews are on every product page, with photos uploaded by buyers. We also feature a "Photos from buyers" wall on each product page (rolling out gradually as new reviews come in).
Is this a real workshop in France?
Ormelya is designed in Dijon by Nassim Habbout (SIRET 989 405 899 00018, verifiable on data.gouv.fr). The boxes are manufactured by a partner in China, chosen for their mastery of microfibre and embedded LEDs. We do not claim "Made in France." We disclose this because transparency matters more than a flag printed on a label.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Shop Pay Installments is available at checkout for US orders ($50+). Four interest-free payments, no impact on credit score.
Who designed the boxes?
Nassim Habbout, alone, in Dijon. Fourteen microfibre samples reviewed, eight prototypes built, three editions kept. The Signature took five months. The Sovereign took nine.
